Mistakes can be costing you business profits! Here are some simple business tips that will help you avoid mistakes in your business that cost profits.

Business Mistake No. 1:

Ninety nine percent of businesses focus on their product and delivery service. They neglect their sales copy or sales pitch. You need to understand ways to communicate to customers so that they will listen to you instead of your businesses competition. You not only want customers to listen to you, but you want them to follow through and buy your business product and/or services.

Business Mistake No. 2:

Businesses focus too much on the technology of marketing. Lets say, for example, a business will try to make their sales letter and web site flashy. This is a mistake. Psychology of marketing is much more important than flashy copy and web site. The decades old psychological techniques in traditional direct response marketing holds true for the Internet as well. You have to understand how to connect with your potential and current customers.

Business Mistake No. 3:

Businesses focus too much on their product(s). It is not the product you create, but how you package the product! It is how well you convey the value of the product you offer. Use caution that the value you offer in the sales copy matches the value of your product.

Don’t write an exaggerated sales letter just to get sales. Customers may buy your product based on this sales letter, but they will be extremely disappointed when the product doesn’t live up to their expectations or the expectations created from your sales letter. Instead, you should create a product that over delivers on any promises and claims you made in the sales letter. This will result in a delighted customer that will then buy even more products from you and increase your business profits!
